Richard Bird
J. Richard Bird retired from Enbridge Inc. in early 2015, having served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Development, and various other roles, including: Executive Vice President Liquids Pipelines, Senior Vice President Corporate Planning and Development, and Vice President and Treasurer.
Mr. Bird has 30 years of experience as an officer of a number of public companies, and serves on the Board of Directors of Bird Construction Inc. He is Founder, President and Chief Investment Officer of the Ptarmigan Charitable Foundation. He is the past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Alberta Investment Management Company. He was named Canada’s CFO of the Year for 2010.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba, and a Masters of Business Administration and PhD from the University of Toronto and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Al Duerr
Al Duerr has a history of investment and leadership in environmental technologies over the past 35 years. He is currently Founder and CEO of General Magnetic International Inc., a clean tech company developing and manufacturing methane emission reduction technologies and partner in Carbon Connect International Inc., a company delivering education, program implementation, and baseline evaluation in the methane emissions reduction sector. Prior to General Magnetic, Mr. Duerr was CEO of the International Projects Group for a Swiss based finance company, establishing their China operations. Mr. Duerr served as the Mayor of Calgary for 12 years from 1989 to 2001, obtaining the highest public support in successive elections of any Mayor in Calgary’s history. Prior to serving as Mayor, he served two terms on City Council and co-founded and was President of a water and wastewater treatment company in Malaysia.

Mike McFadyen
Mike has business education credentials from Harvard and Kellogg Business School and technical education from NAIT and University of Wyoming in Petroleum Engineering. Mike managed growing teams whose assets generally exceeded 100,000 BOE (barrel oil equivalent) operated production per day within various countries, price environments, and challenges.
Saskatchewan-born, the latter half of Mike’s globe-spanning career was mainly executive in function and began 30+ years ago as a Petroleum Engineer with Texaco. Mike is semi-retired now and interested to help Proton successfully market, grow and advance our unique hydrogen energy technology into a significant business that helps provide clean sustainable energy to the world.
Mike’s other industry affiliations included SPE, API Upstream Committee, NOIA Board of Directors and Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers Board of Directors.

Jérôme is an advisory board member for Proton Technologies Canada who has held international leadership positions in finance, technology, and advisory: over ten years in private wealth and investment management at Morgan Stanley (officer, Swiss-based Benelux team) and Wealth Management Partners (partner, co-head institutions); and fifteen years in strategy consulting and corporate finance at Arthur D. Little (partner, co-head TMT sector) and Roland Berger (partner, co-founder Amsterdam office). Jérôme has two decades of early-stage and scale-up experience as office founder, board member, and private investor. He is an independent adviser to and investor in fin-, health- and clean-tech companies. As well as a current partner at NGEN and co-founder of the Brand Capital Fund.

Ron Davison
Ronald (Ron) Davison Is a semi-retired (2015) Professional Engineer with over 40 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. Beginning in 2003, he has held the Vice President, Engineering position for several companies (Atlas Energy Ltd., Piper Resources Ltd., Cutpick Energy Inc. and Beaumont Energy Inc.). His engineering experience was/is focused on the Production, Reservoir and Exploitation disciplines (combined with Business Development) with extensive experience in enhanced recovery techniques and technological advancements (including but not limited to peer-reviewed, published papers in Acid Gas Disposal (essentially CO2 Sequestration) and Electromagnetic Stimulation of Heavy Oil Wells). Since the May 2015 sale of Beaumont Energy Inc., he has focused on consulting work related to Hydrocarbon Production, Gas to Power, Carbon Capture, Food Production and other direct Investment opportunities.
