Jason Wallace

Chief Operations Officer, Proton Technologies

Biography

As the manager of operations and development with Proton Technologies, Jason is involved in the daily operations of taking the company from infancy into demonstration, working with multiple layers of increased testing, experiments and proof-of-concept models. Due to an evolving energy market, Jason believes in taking an atavistic approach to technology, searching the annals for what may have been missed in different economic periods.

Previously to joining Proton, Jason worked internationally as a geologist with Statoil on the Norwegian Continental Shelf in Norway, focusing on efficiencies in well planning, managing a multi-disciplinary team drilling production wells. Domestically, Jason has worked on various in situ and mining oilsands projects with Total E&P Canada and Statoil Canada, with an emphasis on sedimentology, facies interpretation and ichnology and their associated laboratory analyses.

Jason is a P.Geol. in the Province of Alberta, and is concordantly enrolled at Stanford University, nearing the completion of a creative writing certificate, developing his professional writing aptitude.
